I love going to the downtown Big 5 (located right next to Rite Aid in downtown Palm Springs. Whenever I need any sort of casual or athletic shoes, I make it a point to swing by Big 5. I consistently find great deals there and amazingly enough, the sales staff are actually both, cordial and helpful.

Also worth a look are Big 5's sales on sunglasses and other athletic gear. Once in a wile you'll find some amazing deals. Disappointing however are Big fives selection of contemporary sports clothing. For the most part, what they do have in the way of clothing, is way overpriced.
