From Our Cover Artist...

May is such a lovely month in the desert and, with all our outdoor living, I pictured this setting in a garden with iced tea. It was inspired by the brilliantly colorful bougainvillea and other flowers blooming so profusely. Who could wish for more!! It’s a blessing to share with our moms, daughters, and friends.

Have a special time this month.

Sincerely,

Pat Cole

The Desert Woman - Important Notice

The Desert Woman will discontinue publishing a printed version after this May 2008 edition. To help expand our reader base as well as provide more room for content, beginning October 2008, The Desert Woman magazine will only be available online at www.desertwoman.com in a new easy to navigate E-Edition format. This new Internet E-Edition will contain video and expanded interactive features. Our readers will now have the opportunity to post on the website, personal blogs, photos, poetry, artwork, health tips and feature articles, in addition there will be financial and legal tips by local writers. The new site will also contain a schedule of Coachella Valley events as well as interesting interviews of Valley personalities.

The Desert Woman E-Edition will continue to partner with desert charitable organizations and other area media outlets in an effort to expand both our user and content base as we launch our new web site.
