NOT JUST YOUR "ORDINARY MOTEL" - GOOD VALUE & VERY ACCOMODATING!!
Reviewed by gary.ben

It was an unexpected surprise, during a recent stay at Quality Inn (Choice Hotels)-Palm Springs, to discover that this establishment was not only comfortable, clean and affordable, with well equipped rooms but also a wise choice considering
the more pricey places around town. There seems to be a trend, especially in higher-priced hotels,
to get away with imposing a "Resort Fee" which doesn't amount to a hill of beans and, with great intention, increases their revenues. Not here!!
My "king" room had a mini-refrigerator (working), microwave, coffeemaker, as well as dressing area separate from the bathroom. Interior furnishings were nicer than the "basic" and, all-around, a good value! Excellent hospitality extended, both at check-in and check-out by "Anthony".
A BIG PLUS was the FREE hi-speed internet access in the lobby although there was not even a simple continental breakfast provided during the morning hours. But, not to worry, Carrows Restraurant is right next door! Elmer's and Coco's are also good!
My only "issues" were the irritating and noisy pacing and stomping of feet above me, at all hours! (HINT:REQUEST A 2nd FLOOR ROOM IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR SANITY!); and the "Safe Warranty Fee"
automatically displayed on the bill for whatever
reason. I have no clue as to what this is supposed
to represent; however, if the "safe" refers to an
in-room box where you store your "valuables",
I wasn't aware of any such item within the room!!
After contacting the property by phone, I was informed that the guest (at check-out) MUST tell
the front desk agent that he/she did NOT use the room safe and it will be omitted from the bill!!
Leave your "Cartier" and diamonds at home - they are "useless accessories" for summer in the desert
to say nothing about how silly you would look by wearing a priceless tiara when exiting your room! The room rate, with tax, was only about $40 per night and remember...you are NOT wasting your hard-earned money at some upscale, overpriced and
"too-often-disappointing" establishment that thrives on bleeding you out of your last dollar because of their "name" and/or "reputation"!
Believe me when I say - THIS is the place to stay!
